YouTuber Zullie The Witch has imported The Strider from Armored Core 6 into Elden Ring to show off the full size of the game’s largest boss.
For those not in the know, The Strider is the largest boss in Armored Core 6, and one of the largest NPC models FromSoftware has ever made, with the entire mission taking place on The Strider itself, requiring the player to traverse its body to take down the weak spots.
The Strider comprises of 3 segments, with each measuring from 1300-1700 meters long, with the total length coming out to be 4953 meters, and a height of approximately 1280 meters tall.
For context, Zullie made a diagram to show that The Strider is as big as a region of Elden Ring.
Although The Strider is large enough to be its own region in Elden Ring, Zullie The Witch has said that the map of Elden Ring should be proportionally smaller due to it being an open world game.
“Of course, the map in an open-world game should usually be proportionally smaller, just so it’s not a chore to walk around it. Armored Core 6 maps are more like the size you’d expect from actual locations, because you don’t have to travel them on foot.” they said.
Zullie The Witch is famous for their videos where they explores models in Souls games, and was able to achieve this as both games are running the same game engine.
Both games share the same default unit of measurement, being metres, and considering everything in Armored Core is modelled accurately to scale, it’s easy to have a grasp on the actual size of the boss when it’s in Elden Ring.
An interesting fact for Armored Core Fans, the actual size an Armored Core is roughly equivalent to the size of 6 humans, and taking into account the already massive size difference between the Armored Core and The Strider, makes the human workers on The Strider look insignificant.
Armored Core VI has recently received Patch 1.03 that fixes some bugs with the game.
Zullie The Witch is an important figure in the Souls community, with multiple videos exploring the various models in Souls games and finding extra context for characters.
Last year, they used the same technique to view the entire character model of Godwyn in a video.
