Zinogre, Nergigante, and Lagiacrus are the Top 3 Most Popular Monsters in Monster Hunter 

Zinogre, Nergigante, and Lagiacrus are officially the three most popular monsters in the Monster Hunter series as of March 2024.

In celebration of the franchise’s 20th anniversary, Capcom created the Hunters’ Choice popularity poll for fans to vote for their favorite monsters out of 229 available choices late last year.

During the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Special Program today, Capcom unveiled the full results and revealed that, unsurprisingly, Zinogre crowned the most favorite monsters among fans, followed by Monster Hunter World flagship Nergigante, and Lagiacrus.

To celebrate the occasion, the development team also created a special illustration that features the top three monsters.

The top 20 monsters are as follows:

2. Nergigante
3. Lagiacrus
4. Valstrax
5. Gore Magala
6. Velkhana
7. Nargacuga
8. Fatalis
9. Ruiner Nergigante
10. Alatreon
11. Stygian Zinogre
12. Abyssal Lagiacrus
13. Primordial Malzeno
14. Mizutsune
15. Old Fatalis
16. Safi’jiiva
17. Brachydios
18. Namielle
19. Shagaru Magala
20. Crimson Glow Valstrax

Some interesting rankings include the phallic-looking Khezu earning the 32nd spot, beating Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax, Ahtal-Ka, as well as other notable favorite Deviants such as Bloodbath Diablos and Hellblade Glavenus.

Despite being absent from the series since Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite, Yama Tsukami surprisingly ranked number 53, showing how much fans missed him.

Meanwhile, shockingly, Vespoid Queen ranked at number 82, just ahead of Yian Garuga, Silverwind Nargacuga, Gammoth, Qurupeco, Lunagaron and more.

Also, Steel Uragaan ranked last, and undoubtedly the most forgotten subspecies in the entire series.
