Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 ‘Astra-nomical Moment’ Launches on January 22

HoYoverse has revealed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 update, titled “Astra-nomical Moment,” will launch on January 22, 2025. This major update centers around New Eridu’s star performer Astra Yao, introducing new gameplay features, characters, and seasonal events. The story will focus on Astra Yao’s New Year performance at the iconic Starloop venue. While Astra takes center stage in a spectacular show, players will uncover and combat hidden threats lurking behind the scenes alongside character Evelyn.

As the game’s first healing character, Astra Yao joins the roster as an S-Rank Ether Support Agent. Her unique mechanics allow her to remain on the battlefield even after switching characters, continuously providing team-wide damage bonuses through her Idyllic Cadenza state. The update also introduces Evelyn, an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent who utilizes a Burning Tether Point system for Chain Attacks. Players can also look forward to Snap, a new S-Rank Bangboo character, while S-Rank agents Ellen and Qingyi will return in Version 1.5 banners.

The update brings several new gameplay modes to enhance the combat experience. “Endless Tower: The Last Stand” challenges players to ascend through 10-floor phases with unique combat effects, while “Perpetrator Battle” in Hollow Zero requires strategic use of specific Agents and gear. The Bizarre Brigade expands with a new 2-player PvE mode and seven additional Dream Seekers.

Additionally, the update introduces “Mach 25,” a new vehicle-based parkour arcade game at Godfinger. Community events include a Bangboo pageant called “Ridu’s Got Boo” and the Elpis Ultimate Angler Championship fishing competition, offering rewards such as Nicole’s new outfit and an exclusive dynamic wallpaper.

Zenless Zone Version 1.5 will be available across PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android platforms, featuring interface improvements for Notorious Hunt, Drive Disc, and W-Engine systems, along with enhanced dynamic wallpaper and badge displays.
