The much anticipated upcoming action gacha title Zenless Zone Zero is now confirmed to be in development for a PlayStation 5 (PS5) version with a brand-new trailer.
As part of the January 2024 State of Play presentation, HoYoverse unveiled a groovy new trailer for Zenless Zone Zero and confirmed a PS5 version of the game is on its way.
Much like other HoYoverse titles, Zenless Zone Zero was initially only confirmed to launch on Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as PCs.
However, HoYoverse teased console versions of Zenless Zone Zero during their presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2023, leading to many fans speculating that it would be a PS5 version as other HoYoverse titles such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail were also released on PlayStation systems.
Zenless Zone Zero is set to be the next big title from HoYoverse and its combat system has captivated many fans who are already fond of its other more action-oriented title such as Honkai Impact 3rd.
It features dynamic combat with dodges, parries, and multiple characters tagging in and out, and while out of combat, the game’s Hub area, the New Eridu is full of minigames and interactable elements to discover.
In our hands-on impression of the game, we heavily praised Zenless Zone Zero for its action combat and its presentation full of style that elevates the experience tenfold.
“Of course, a lot of the endearing qualities of Zenless Zone Zero feel partially enhanced by its intense sense of style.”
“It’s absolutely committed to this almost breakcore-level of action. I can’t tell you how cool the level clear screens are- doing away with Honkai Impact’s canned victory animation and instead having dramatic slowdowns of your finishing blow.”
As of writing, the game has yet to announce an official release date for any of its platforms.
