The new YuGiOh manga featuring stories behind the characters and monsters of the OCG (Official Card Game) is releasing this week. Aptly titled YuGiOh OCG Stories, the manga is centred around Sky Striker Ace – Raye, the poster girl for the Sky Striker Ace archetype.
The manga will be part of the June issue of Shueisha’s V Jump magazine which will be releasing on 21 April 2022. It will serialise alongside the YuGiOh OCG Structures manga, which functions as more of a tutorial or guide on how to play the game than a traditional story.
Shin Yoshida is credited for the story of OCG Stories while Naohita Miyoshi is drawing the manga. Yoshida previously worked on series composition for the original YuGiOh anime as well as its various seasons like GX, 5D’s and Zexal whereas Miyoshi worked on the Arc-V and Zexal manga.
Currently, the YuGiOh anime is airing its eighth season. YuGiOh Go Rush premiered earlier this month on 3 April 2022.

Besides the anime and manga, YuGiOh Master Duel is currently the highest-earning TCG/CCG on mobile, beating competitors Magic the Gathering: Arena and Shadowverse for the number 1 spot.
