YuGiOh Master Duel has released its first May Banlist, updating the status of various cards to balance certain decks in the game’s meta.
Konami has also announced decks affected by this banlist aren’t totally screwed- you’ll be able to dismantle cards up to their limit at a full refund.
What this means is that with cards like Cyber Angel Benten limited to 1, you’ll be able to dismantle your extra Bentens until you have 1 left, and each one will give its full 30 CP value instead of the usual 10.
The new YuGiOh Master Duel Banlist will come into effect on May 9th, and will see the following cards limited to 1 per deck:
- Cyber Angel Benten
- Conquistador of the Golden Land
Additionally, many more cards have been awarded the semi-limited status- meaning you’ll be able to only take up to two of them in a deck, making them harder to consistently get.
These include particular menaces like D.D Dynamite, known for being oppressive to players thanks to Master Duel’s unique best-of-one format.
Hints At Future Content
Interestingly, one more card being semi-limited is the spell card Fusion Destiny
Considering that Destiny HERO cards have yet to obtain their boss monster, it’s likely that the limit on Fusion Destiny is them prepping for the eventual release of Destiny HERO- Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer.
“This is the first version of the Forbidden/Limited List, and the extent of the limitations take into account new cards that will be added to YuGiOh Master Duel in the future”, Konami says.
