The Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023 is scheduled to start on the 5th of August 2023 at the Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Centre) in Japan.
The event will run for two days and feature three separate tournaments for the following Yu-Gi-Oh! titles:
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
The details on the qualifiers rounds for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links and and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has also been announced, with Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links qualifiers starting on 30th May and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel qualifiers starting on 16th May. All Duelists will be able to compete in-game for the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023 Qualifiers for a chance to participate the championship in person.
The full schedule for the World Championship 2023 Qualifiers for both titles is as follows:
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel 1st Stage – 12:00, 16 May – 11:59, 29 May (UTC+8)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Regional Qualifiers – 13:00 26 May – 11:59, 29 May (UTC+8)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links 1st Stage – 15:30, 30 May – 12:59, 12 June (UTC+8)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Regional Qualifiers – 13:00, 9 June – 12:59, 12 June (UTC+8)
The format for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel World Championship 2023 Finals will be as a Team Battle, where eight teams formed from Duelists worldwide will compete to win the Championship.
The final Qualifier (DUELIST CUP 2023) that determines the Asian representative Duelists for Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game World Championship 2023 will be held in China on June 17 at the Flagship Store “Duelist Land” in Shanghai and seven other Asian countries.
The top three qualifying Duelists from the eight Asian countries and regions will be allowed to participate in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game World Champion 2023.
