Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game The Chronicles Anniversary Animation Reel Produced by Newly Announced KONAMI Animation 

The Yu-Gi-Oh! card game celebrates its 25th anniversary today with a six-minute long animation reel titled “Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game The Chronicles”.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game The Chronicles animation is being produced by the newly announced KONAMI Animation with assistance from anime studio J.C. STAFF and AtoriE.

Rather than focusing on the duelist, this animation reel focused on presenting the lore of the various iconic monster cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game.

As mentioned, the animation gave us a glimpse of many iconic monster cards in action, starting off with Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl followed by Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

The other card themes showcased are as follows:

• The Spirit Charmers
• The Third Ice Dragon, Trishula Unleashed
• Melffys of the Joyous Forest
• The Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder

• “Fire Kings” vs “Atlanteans” the Ocean up in Flames

As of writing, the animation is only meant to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the card game and unveil the future of KONAMI Animation.

The reveal was part of The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY 25th anniversary commemoration for the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game held at Tokyo Dome.

The newly announced KONAMI Animation has had a new official website launched, with one of its values being that “creators are always looking out into the horizon for a creative and efficient process made possible by combining the history that the animation industry has paved, with the evolution sought after in the video game industry.”

Furthermore, the website also unveiled the talents involved in the animation short, including Takashi Kaiga as chief director, as well as Isamu Abe, Daisuke Tsuboi, Yasuhiro Aoki (Vspo! Mr.Music production chief), Mitsutaka Echigo (Vspo! Bunka Taiikusai Animation PV), and Atsushi Tsubokawa (Detective Conan: Pitch Black Nightmare co-production assistant) as producers.
