Ys VI Online opens pre-registrations

Following the very recent conclusion of the open beta test, Ys VI Online: The Ark of Napishtim has now opened pre-registrations! There are the typical milestone rewards up to 1 million pre-registrations, giving out currency like Chaos / Gaia Stones, a Lydia Card, “Stardust”, “Cookies” and “Alma’s Tear”. More relevant to Japanese residents, players stand a chance to win themselves a fourth generation iPad Air through a Twitter giveaway. With the opening of pre-registrations, Ys VI Online is scheduled for a Summer 2021 release, a delay from its initial Spring 2021 timeline.

The opening movie for the game was also revealed, and can be seen below:

If you missed out on it, you can check out the battle system preview from an earlier limited time trial here. You will be able to choose from four classes with the option to job change and skill trees to boot. Adol appears to be a companion character, at a point where it was revealed that he will not be a playable character. Olha and Isha are also featured in the opening, though it’s unclear what roles they will play in this online take of the original game. Whether Ys VI Online will be localized remains to be seen, so keep an eye out.
