Youtuber Ray Mona had managed to uncover the lost first episode of the Saban and Toon Makers’ produced Sailor Moon project which is the americanised version based on the Sailor Moon series by Naoko Takeuchi named Saban Moon.
About Saban Moon
Based on the Sailor Moon wiki, the North American Live Action Adaptation of the Sailor Moon series Saban Moon which was made by NA animation company Toon Makers and Haim Saban’s representative company – Renaissance Atlantic, was initially intended to air back in the 1990’s where the plot of the series was focused on a Teen Drama half live action half animation story. In series, the girls had to deal with real-life problems showing the real-life actresses as well as having animated sequences of the girls in space.
The series ultimately never got the green light to air and with how the series was kept in secrecy where the only know footage of Saban Moon was shown through a fan’s recording of a promotional video that was shown during a convention that had happened long ago.
It was until recently that Youtuber Ray Mona made a two part documentary of her digging through and uncovering the lost footage of the first episode of Saban Moon. In the second part of the documentary, it is at the 1:44:01 mark where we got to see the pilot episode of the series that never made it out of production.
