Yoshinori Ono, best known as the producer of the Street Fighter series and being behind the widely popular Street Fighter IV, is now the President and Representative Director of Delightworks.
He made the announcement via his Twitter, where he said he would begin his run as director starting May 1st.
“On May 1st, I will be appointed President and Representative Director of Delightworks Co., Ltd. It will be a challenge to a new position and a new field. I look forward to working with them in the future. I would like to thank all the people who have taken care of me in the past and the game community I have been involved in in the future”, his tweet reads.
It looks like his appointment by Delightworks might be related to a future project, as he followed up the Tweet with a call for interested parties to come work with him.
“From May 1st, we will continue to look for friends who can work on new things together. If you want to create new things with your uncle, both domestically and internationally, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely”, he says.
Delightworks is most famously known as the developer of the widely popular Fate/Grand Order series. The company also developed less popular games, such as the recently-shuttered Sakura Kakumei.
Delightworks themselves haven’t commented on if Yoshinori Ono would be helming any specific projects once he starts his tenure at the company.
