Concert organisers SOZO has reclaimed a limited number of tickets from scalpers for the upcoming YOASOBI Singapore live show that will happen on 11th January 2024.
The announcement was made over on SOZO’s official Facebook page, where they have been working together with Ticketmaster and were able to recover tickets from unauthorised resellers.
“Despite the challenging and complex nature of this process, we managed to recover a very limited number of tickets from fraudulent resellers and suspicious accounts,” the announcement reads.
In the same announcement, SOZO mentions that they will be launching a ticket ballot to redistribute the claimed tickets, giving Singaporean fans another shot at getting their hands on catching the Japanese music super-duo perform live.
The ticket ballot will go live on 6th December 2023 at 2:00 pm Singapore time and end at 6:00 pm Singapore time, and those who are interested can submit their applications here.
Scalpers have recently been an issue and the same can be said with the YOASOBI Asia Tour, with scalpers marking up the ticket prices by ridiculous amounts and reselling them on various platforms such as Carousell.
It is also worth bringing up that SOZO are taking steps in tackling scalpers, where they urge the public to report any unauthorised YOASOBI tickets resellers to their email, which is a commendable effort.
As of time of writing, there are no updates in regards to whether the same actions would be taken with the Malaysia YOAOSBI live show.
