Konami announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens willl be joining Duel Links and adding Rush Duel, the mobile game spinoff based on the Yu-Gi-Oh anime.
Announced after Grand Finals for Duel Links at the WCS2023, they revealed that you’d be able to play Rush Duel- the new game type created for the seventh anime series of Yu-Gi-Oh!.
This format features much faster gameplay, letting you draw multiple cards as well as summoning your monsters back to back.
In addition, characters from Sevens will also be added to the game, though the exact roster has yet to be decided.
No release date has been given yet for the update, though that does mean Duel Links will now be at parity with the anime in terms of content.
Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links is arguably the most unique format of the various Yu-Gi-Oh! titles available now, sporting a smaller field size as well as characters with abilities to add new layers of strategy to the game.
Over the years it’s incorporated increasing content from the anime, with a variety of voiced characters and abilities as well as cards.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships 2023 are happening right now at the Tokyo Big Sight, featuring Grand Finals for Duel Links, Master Duel as well as the TCG/OCG.
