Day 1 of the Yu-Gi-Oh (YGO) World Championship 2023 just concluded, here are the list of the players for the three games who will be moving on to the next day.
The YGO World Championship hosted three different games in the Trading Card Game (TCG), Duel Links, and Master Duel.
The TCG had a format of 7 Swiss Rounds with Top 8 Quarter Finals in a 3-Round Match, where the first to 2 will be crowned the winner.
Day 1 saw Jeremy Mitchell and Paulie Aronson from the United States along with Juan Mateo Augusto Renteria Pastor and Santiago Marin Lopez from LATAM moving on to the Semi-Finals in day 2.

Meanwhile over at Master Duel, had a Round-robin of 3vs 3 format within two separate groups with Semi-Finals by the Top 2 teams in each group, with the winners determined by the first to 5 in total for a team.
We saw Team 7 consisting of players: Raymond Dai, Ryan Yu and Jesse Kotton from North America, as well as Team snipehunters consisting of Joshua Schmidt, Jack-Rory Steenkamer and Emre Kizilates from Europe who will all be moving on to day 2.

Lastly, Duel Links consisted of 6 Swiss Rounds and Top 4 Semi-Finals in a 5-Round Match with whoever reaches first to 3 taking the game. Our finalists were none other than Jonghwan Lee from Korea and Jianyu Jiang, who will be facing off against one another in Day 2.
