Alexander Mahan (also referred as YandereDev), the developer of Yandere Simulator has confessed to the recent grooming allegations.
The developer has since admitted to the accusations and apologised over on his development blog post.
These came to light on 25th September 2023 when a video began to float around online of someone who was alleged to have been groomed by YandereDev.
The video which was originally uploaded on Youtube has been taken down for copyright as mentioned by Twitter user AllyMcC.
The YandereDev video with evidence of him allegedly grooming a minor has been taken down for copyright under the victim’s real name, though I have strong reason to believe this wasn’t actually her doing. Figuring out options right now. pic.twitter.com/Xv4pGFF2S5

As of time of writing, the video still remains unavailable, however the video has been archived and can be viewed here.
This was later followed by a response from YandereDev owning up to the accountability of his actions on his blog post and did not try to explain anything away or say anything other than admitting that he messed up.
On 25th September 2023, Michaela Laws, the voice actress and voice director of Yandere-Chan posted a note on Twitter in which she mentioned that after a decade of supporting the project and having numerous contributions on all levels, she will be officially stepping down from her role.
This is not a choice I make lightly. I am suspending my participation from Yandere Simulator as a voice actress and voice director. I hope the game gets completed regardless, with or without me, as so much work and love was put into it. Thank you and have a good night. pic.twitter.com/IBAWraSwz8
