Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, Watch S3, and S2 Launching in Malaysia

Xiaomi has announced the launch of three new smart wearables, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S3, and Xiaomi Watch S2 in Malaysia.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro offers upgraded customization, professional sports tracking, comprehensive health monitoring, and other smart features.

The watch measures just 9.99mm in thickness and weighs 22.5g. With a metallic frame protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® front cover glass.

For display, the watch features a rectangular 1.74″ AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 336 x 480 pixels. It is also equipped with a light sensor that adapts to ambient light brightness, allowing display to be visible in various lighting conditions

Quick-release band straps are available on both sides of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, allowing for easy interchangeability of the straps. it is available in black and silver but also comes with out-of-box strap materials and colors to freely customize with. The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro provides a selection of over 200 watch faces.

Professional-level sports tracking is also available in the watch, with a selection of over 150 sports modes, each with various exercise options. The built-in 3D exercise animation also provides clear visual guidance for better preparation for your workout. Equipped with health monitoring features, the watch can also continually monitor and record the user’s heart rate in real-time.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro packs a 289mAH battery, with a built-in GNSS positioning, alongside useful tools such as Alexa voice assistant and the ‘find mobile phone’ feature. The watch is also 5ATM certified. providing a level of water resistance for the device.

Xiaomi Watch S3

Xiaomi Watch S3 is a multi-functional smartwatch with a classic watch design.

The device features a round 1.43″ AMOLED display and light aluminum alloy frame, with interchangeable bezels and straps. Users can display unique dials exclusive to a particular bezel, as well as a embed a unique personal watch face through the watch’s portrait auto-keying function.

For specifications, Xiaomi Watch S3 is equipped with the Xiaomi HyperOS system, and a battery life capable of lasting up to 15 days. It also comes with a feature that allows users to perform personalized operations through various flips of the wrist.

In terms of sports tracking, the Xiaomi Watch S3 offers over 150 sports modes, with a new winter sports mode being available on the global version for the first time. An enhanced antenna reception performance and positioning accuracy are also provided through the L1 + L5 dual-band GNSS.

A 12-channel heart rate monitoring module offers advanced health monitoring for the user. Additionally, the device also includes a sleep animal function, which generates a ‘Sleep Animal’ that represents the user’s sleep condition after 7 days.

Xiaomi Watch S2

Xiaomi Watch 2 offers users an extraordinary experience with its comprehensive functionality and stylish design.

The watch is equipped with Google Wear OS, featuring 5 of the most commonly used apps and further supporting 200+ third-party apps.

For specifications, Xiaomi Watch 2 is powered by Snapdragon® W5+Gen 1 Wearable platform, with its dual core architecture enabling low power consumption, bringing a  battery life of up to 65 hours under typical usage with its 495mAh battery and 32GB storage.

In terms of display, the smartwatch is fitted with a 1.43″ AMOLED display and an aluminium alloy middle frame, and weights about 37g.

A camera remote function is also included with the smartwatch, allowing users to preview their mobile camera through it.

Much like the Xiaomi Watch 3, the Xiaomi Watch 2 also supports over 160 sports modes, including the new winter sports mode.  The dual-band L1 + L5 GNSS offers accurate locating. And with the expanded collaboration with Suunto, sports and sleep data can be easily synchronized between Mi Fitness and other apps.

A similar heart rate monitoring to the Xiaomi Watch 3 is also offered with this smartwatch, with the ‘Sleep Animal’ feature being available as well.

Pricing and Availability

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S3 and Xiaomi Watch 2 are now available at all Authorized Xiaomi stores in Malaysia, and at official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee. From now till March 21, shoppers can enjoy a special early bird price, while stock lasts.
