Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G Now Available in Malaysia

Xiaomi announced that the Redmi 12 5G smartphone, a new entry-level device is now available in Malaysia through Celcom and Digi’s postpaid bundle plans.

As announced, the Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G device is now available in Malaysia through the communication service providers Celcom and Digi’s 24-month postpaid bundle plans.

Design & Display

On the design, Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G will be available in 3 different color options, Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver, as well as featuring a premium glass back and infinite camera design.

Coming in at 8.17mm thin, the Redmi 12 5G also features a 6.79” FHD + DotDisplay screen and a 2460×1080 display resolution.

Furthermore, the phone’s display is SGS Low Blue Light certified and features Reading Mode 3.0 to allow users to read for longer without eye fatigue.

The body of the Redmi 12 5G is also built with an IP53 rating, allowing it to handle dust and splashes with better ease.

Camera

Moving on to the camera, the Redmi 12 5G features a dual camera system comprised of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera that is said to be able to deliver more natural-looking bokeh.

Moreover, the Redmi 12 5G will come with many camera features such as HDR mode, night mode, portrait mode, or the ability to record videos with movie frames or timelapse.

Xiaomi has also given the Redmi 12 5G seven film filters for users to embrace their photography creativity including pixel-level calculations and real-time previews.

Battery & Other Features

In addition, the Redmi 12 5G is built with a 5,000mAh battery and has an 18W Type-C fast charging port, which Xiaomi claimed to be able to last up to 23 days of standby, 179 hours of music, 32 hours of reading, or 27 hours of video playback.

The phone will also support a myriad of other features such as a 3.5mm headphone jack for music listening, NFC for added convenience, as well as the ability to act as an IR remote control for other devices.
