Nintendo ended their February 2022 direct with the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
The game will be released in September of 2022.

Nintendo has also promised the story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will tie together the “futures of the worlds depicted in Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2”. Considering the high sci-fi settings of both previous games, it’s bound to be quite the adventure.
From the trailer, the graphics and character models seem to be more polished, even compared to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Whether it will actually look this good running on the Switch is yet to be seen but considering the series’ track record, it’s likely in safe hands.
Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2 as well as the spin-off game Xenoblade Chronicles X (which really should have been ported to Switch by now) have become some of the most highly acclaimed RPGs on Nintendo’s recent consoles.
This has led to developers Monolithsoft working on other important Nintendo projects including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. A game that much like Xenoblade is known for its vast open-world with numerous enemies on screen at once.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will release for the Nintendo Switch in September. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 1: Definitive Edition are currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
