With a new year starting, Microsoft has unveiled the game arriving to Xbox Game Pass in January 2024, featuring notable titles such as Resident Evil 2 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as the highlight.
As revealed on Xbox Wire, there are plenty of games to look forward to this month on Xbox Game Pass, from survival horror to sports, to open-world adventure.
Without further ado, here is the list of games that will be hitting Xbox Game Pass in early January:
- Close to the Sun (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 3rd (Available Now)
- Hell Let Loose (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – January 4th
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 9th
- Figment (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 9th
- Super Mega Baseball 4 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 11th
- We Happy Few (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 11th
- Resident Evil 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 16th
- Those Who Remain (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 16th
Headlining this month’s Xbox Game Pass offering is obviously the much beloved and acclaimed survival horror title Resident Evil 2 remake by Capcom.
This reimagining of the 1998 classic takes us back to the days when Leon S. Kennedy ended up in a zombie apocalypse on his first day of work as a police officer, all before his knife-parrying swag in the latest Resident Evil 4 remake.
Or follow Claire Redfield as she ended up in the zombie apocalypse as well when searching for her missing brother, the boulder-punching Chris Redfield.
Another noteworthy title is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the twelfth major installment in the series and one that brings players to the Viking age with Eivor sailing into England.
In typical Ubisoft fashion, expect a bunk load of content to go through as you set on an adventure as a Viking Assassin.
Aside from the games mentioned, several DLC content is also available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers now, including the following:
- Dead by Daylight – Chucky
- Hello Neighbor 2 – Anniversary Update
- Sea of Thieves – Season Ten
Speaking of Sea of Thieves, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are entitled to the Nightshine Parrot pack cosmetic items and 10,000 gold to spend in-game.
Unfortunately, while there are great games to look forward to, some amazing titles are also leaving the subscription service soon, including the popular Grand Theft Auto V and Persona series.
The games leaving are:
- Grand Theft Auto V (Cloud and Console) – January 5th
- Garden Story (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 15th
- Persona 4 Golden (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 15th
- Persona 3 Portable (Cloud, Console, and PC) – January 15th
