The Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition of 2K24, the newest entry in the WWE 2K series, is now available worldwide.
2K Games announced the news through an official launch trailer, marking the start of the 2K24 legacy.
WWE 2K24 is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam with the Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition.
The Standard Edition and Standard Cross-Gen Digital Edition will be available on March 8th, 2024. So fans who bought the standard versions will have to be a little more patient before being able to play the game.
Many new features have been added to WWE 2K24, with a special tribute to the legacy of WrestleMania, as the new entry allows players to relive the 40-year history of the event through 2K Showcase… Of the Immortals.
Other special highlights include ‘The Greatest’ Muhammad Ali joining the ring alongside popular wrestling icons like Cody Rhodes and John Cena.
Furthermore, WWE 2K24 also introduced four new iconic match types, those being Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match.
WWE 2K is a series of professional wrestling sports simulation video games that was initially published by THQ and developed by Yuke’s, the series began as WWF Smackdown! before being changed to WWE after the World Wrestling Federation changed its name.
As of 2018, Visual Concepts would take over lead development for the game after Yuke’s departure, beginning with the release of 2K20 in 2019.
