The Closed Beta Test 2 (CBT 2) for Wuthering Waves has officially started today, with the developers revealing details regarding what to expect from the beta test.
In a series of posts on the official X/Twitter, Wuthering Waves has revealed that all qualifications for CBT 2 have been sent out.
According to their website, the beta test will be opened at 10 am (UTC+8), on 19th February 2024.
Players who registered for CBT 2 can check their emails to confirm if they are eligible. Alternatively, they can also check through the Closed Beta Inquiries Page by logging in with their registered credentials.
Those who are eligible for the test can begin downloading the game through the official CBT 2 recruitment page.
In the Closed Beta Test 2, Wuthering Waves promised a list of changes and improvements, including:
- Story revisions: A thorough overhaul of the in-game stories, while removing unsatisfactory settings, making adjustments to character design, and the implementation of the ‘Skip’ button.
- Improvements to the combat system: Optimizations to the overall combat loop experience centered around the “Intro Skill – Outro Skill,” with detailed adjustments made to various combat aspects. Alongside further improvements to the Echo Skill.
- Graphic quality: Introducing a more comfortable and polished appearance for in-game visuals and implementing a more detailed atmosphere tier system.
- Optimizations to Echoes: Dedicated tutorial guides for the Echo system, while also lowering the difficulty of discovering and obtaining Echoes.
- New in-game events: Limited-time in-game events such as the “Depths of Illusive Realm” and “Overdash Club” track challenges are available during CBT 2.
Wuthering Waves is an open-world RPG developed by Kuro Games, the same developers behind Punishing: Gray Raven. The game is set to launch on mobile on iOS and Android, as well as on PC.
