The pre-release event for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands featuring The Scourge is now live. Players can now log-in and prepare themselves for the upcoming Shadowlands expansion, which drops in two weeks.
The event follows the cinematic intro for Shadowlands, which sees Sylvanas Windrunner destroying the Lich King’s Helm of Domination. Aside from shattering the sky, it also causes the Scourge to run amok in Azeroth. Naturally, players in both the Horde and Alliance are the ones who’ll need to deal with this problem.
This is part of the content available ahead of the launch of the Shadowlands expansion for World Of Warcraft. Other features were added in the Shadowlands pre-release patch, including the following:
- Revamped leveling experience taking players to the new level cap of 50, which will increase to level 60 in Shadowlands.
- Exile’s Reach, a complete overhaul of WoW’s new player experience with its own epic story and introducing new and returning players to the game’s core elements.
- Hundreds of new character customization options.
- Item and stat level adjustments to support the new level adjustments.
