World of Dragon Nest was previously confirmed to be playable across platforms of PC and Mobile last month. This time, Eyedentity Games has released more information about the open-world MMORPG. There are plenty of gameplays that were unveiled in the new trailer that they have released this time including; PvE, Raid Bosses and the Open World.
Check out the trailer below:
The game is similar to it’s PC version but with an Open World concept. With the freedom to traverse anywhere in the world of Dragon Nest, players will be able to bump each other just about anywhere instead of just the towns like the current PC version. In the World of Dragon Nest, players will encounter new enemies called the “Paradise Exiles“ according to the lead designer DO-hyung Kwon from Eyedentity Games. This means that there is a new story-line for players to follow and it will probably have some relation with the whole Dragon Nest lore.
Eyedentity Games is focusing on a large scale combat in this one. With guild wars which are capable to involve up to 60 players; 30 from each side to fight against each other. However because it will be released on the Mobile platform as well, there will be an auto-combat feature installed. Just like the PC version, there is no targeting combat, where players will either hit or miss their skills on the monsters.
One of the interesting features in the game is that there is a new system, where a gauge will appear on the screen that fills up for a special skill. Also players will now be able to pick their classes WITH EITHER GENDER. Unlike the current PC version, each class are locked to their own gender. The class and skill system has completely changed as well. Weapons now define your character’s role and combat style which means every player can be whichever sub-class (after job advancement) they want to be depending on the weapon of choice. The skills are bound to the weapons and they can only be held by the classes you choose.
AND a new class addition called the Slayer will be in World of Dragon Nest and not in the PC Dragon Nest.
While the game is slated to be released in the mid of 2018, apparently there are plenty more ideas for the Dragon Nest IP which the dev team had. However they were unable to include them all in the game that was released 7 years ago. Thus the World of Dragon Nest will be the next gen game that will probably take over the mantle with the inclusion of all the ideas the devs have.
