Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has come out and Koei Tecmo was nice enough to send up a copy of the Wo Long Treasure Box, the game’s collectors edition.
The collector’s edition comes with some rare gems hidden inside. It includes a soundtrack, an art book, a DLC code, and a t-shirt. Let’s take a look:
The game comes in a hard cardboard collectors box displaying the key art of the game. We should note that our copy came with a bonus cardboard sleeve to protect the game case hidden inside, a nice bonus to help the game stand out more on your shelf.
Case and Soundtrack
Unsealing the gates of the front cover reveals the real treasure within, a standard copy of the game plus its official soundtrack.
I haven’t heard much of Wo-Long’s music but what have heard has been good, with great use of Chinese Instruments to add that wuxia flair. The CD soundtrack comes with a selection of 10 songs from across the game.
The T-Shirt
Looking beyond the first tray of items comes a special piece of armor, and by armor, I mean a cotton t-shirt featuring a picture of Lu Bu on the back. I mean, that’s still pretty powerful, especially with how the difficulty of a boss Lu Bu is in this game (or any game he appears in for that matter). The front of the t-shirt simply has the title of the game printed across the chest. It’s a very minimalist design that works well to make the t-shirt stand out.
Artbook
The final layer of The Treasure Box contains a code for a DLC helmet and the art book. The hardback door stopper contains 112 pages of key and concept art for the game including a detailed look at some of the character models for the various Three Kingdom heroes. Considering how different these characters can be compared to their more traditional depictions, it’s cool to be able to see their designs so up close.
Bonus Items
The following items are not included in the Wo Long Treasure Box but rather were bonus items that Koei-Tecmo sent to us (thank guys). These included an extra T-shirt, A hoodie with the Wo-Long protagonist on it, and a whole bunch of branded stress balls. These might be my favorite item because if you’ve played Wo Long and experienced the tough-as-nails difficulty, you’ll no for a fact that you’re going to need that stress ball.
That’s a look at everything you get with the Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Treasure Box. It’s a fairly standard collectors edition with a CD soundtrack and art book but I can’t deny the effort that went into its presentation. Everything feels quite high quality, especially the art book which was a lot of fun to flip through and get a closer look at the game’s many characters.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
