The previously announced mobile Wizardry title, currently simply known as Wizardry VA, is expected to launch in 2022. The actual name of the game remains to be seen, still, but it does look like Drecom will be taking their time with this one. Wizardry VA is also meant for a worldwide release, presumably to be simultaneously available with the Japanese one in 2022. A new trailer teaser has been released which you can watch below:
A new Twitter account has also been established for you to check out here. Studio 2PRO has been named as part of the project. There are still calls for staff members as well as development partners. Interested staff members can apply here and development partners can contact them here.
Wizardry is a series of 3D dungeon crawler RPGs, the first game released back in 1981 for the Apple II, with the last main line title being for PC in 2001. Wizrogue: Labyrinth of Wizardry was first launched in Japan for mobile devices in 2014, the original releases having been discontinued. It was translated into English in 2017 as well as made available on Android once more, removing the free to play elements and opting to be a premium title instead.
