After 10 years since the release of Watch Dogs, the shooting for the live-action movie has started. Ubisoft recently tweeted on X with a picture of a clapperboard and a person working behind it. The film will be directed by French director and screenwriter Mathieu Turi, who has also worked on The Deep Dark and Meander.

Watch Dogs was released on May 26, 2014 on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC via Steam with a Wii U version releasing in November the same year. By the end of 2014, the game has reportedly sold more than 10 million copies.

Currently, there’s no information that has been revealed for the Watch Dogs movie yet. But what we do know is Hunger Games star, Tom Blyth and Sophie Wilde who has starred in A24’s horror film, Talk to Me (2023) are going to be in it.
The latest entry into the franchise is Watch Dogs: Legion which came out in October 29, 2020 and is the sequel to Watch Dogs 2. We’ve previously reviewed Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline which was the last DLC for the game. Do check it out if you’re still unsure of getting it.
