Focus Interactive Entertainment has announced the new release date for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, after it was delayed months prior.
Unveiled at The Game Awards 2023, Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 will now release on September 9th, 2024.
The game is a follow up to the cult classic Warhammer 40K Space Marine, a third person shooter that sees you don the power armor of Captain Titus- warrior of the Ultramarines chapter of Space Marines.
Not much else was shown of the trailer- it’s still every bit as bloody and action-packed as it was in previous trailers, as you fight off hordes of Tyranids with all manner of iconic Space Marine weapons like bolters and Chainswords.
The game is also doing beta-sign ups, so players seeking to execute the will of the God-Emperor of Mankind can sign up to do so and try out the game while it’s still in development.
Warhammer 40K is a sci fi setting home to numerous videogames on top of its tabletop roots- in recent years we’ve seen entries like co op shooter Warhammer 40,000 Darktide as well as CRPGs like the recently launched Rogue Trader and strategy games like XCOM-like Mechanicus.
The mega-IP is also one of many to have collaborated with Magic: The Gathering under the Universes Beyond label.
