Owlcat Games has shown off more information about the upcoming Warhammer 40K : Rogue Trader, including more information about its gameplay ahead of a beta due out June 1st.
In a new trailer, Owlcat showed another character joining your crew in Rogue Trader: the Space Wolf Ulfar, whose entire pack was wiped out by the Drukhari.
As is expected of an Adeptus Astartes, Ulfar uses a bolter, while also carrying a power axe, though they haven’t gone into detail how the Space Wolf would play.
The combat requires you to manage several stats- such as one called Morale, and another called Momentum with different options like Desperate Measures for low-morale squads or Heroic Arts.
They also showed that the regular, player-based combat would not be the only way to throw down in Warhammer 40K : Rogue Trader – instead the game would also feature naval battles, letting you fight off other ships.
The trailer also gave us an updated look at the factions that would appear in Rogue Trader, which include:
- Imperium of Man
- Asuryani (Craftworld Eldar)
- Drukhari (Dark Eldar)
- Necrons
- Chaos Cultists
- Chaos Space Marines
- Khorne Daemons
- Nurgle Daemons
- Tzeentch Daemons
- Slaanesh Daemons
While the overall plot for Rogue Trader is still under wraps, it looks like Chaos will play a major part of it, even possibly featuring the corruption of the titular Rogue Trader.
The game will be getting a beta on June 1st, though it will only be available to players who have pre ordered the game.
Warhammer 40K : Rogue Trader is one of several games scheduled to release under the Warhammer IP- such as the recently announced Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin.
