Digital Extremes has now revealed that their free-to-play sci-fi action game, Warframe will be going to be fully playable on Android devices.
While the mobile version of Warframe was previously unveiled, it was only announced for iOS devices, but now the game will support Android devices as well.
Along with the announcement of an Android version, Digital Extremes also revealed that they are gearing up for a Closed Beta Test for the platform and fans of the space ninja action title can sign up now through the game’s official website.
To participate in the Closed Beta, players would need to have a Warframe account and eligible users will then receive an invitation through their email address.
For now, there is no confirmed Closed Beta schedule revealed yet or whether the test will be in limited regions.
When it comes to the release date, Digital Extremes noted that the Android version will be released later than the iOS version.
According to the Apple App Store store page, Warframe is expected to launch on 20 February 2024 on the platform, thus means that the Android release will be later than that.
One of the highlighted key features that were announced for Warframe during the TennoCon 2023 event was the implementation of cross-play and cross-save support.
The cross-platform save feature is now planned to roll out with the Whispers in the Walls update in December and with this system alongside mobile versions of the game, existing players can soon grind out their dailies on the go.
As mentioned, an Android version of Warframe is currently in development and a Closed Beta will be held soon with registrations now available.
