War Mongrels, The Real-Time Tactics Game Set In World War II Is Out Now On Xbox Consoles

War Mongrels, a real-time tactics game from Destructive Creations, is now available for purchase on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

PlayStation users have to wait however as the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 version of the game is scheduled to release on 13th July 2023, with pre-orders opening today for the downloadable and packaged versions of the game.

War Mongrels is a game that focuses on the unsung heroes of the little-known resistance that fought against the Nazis in World War II as well as the two opposing sides of the war.

With the heroes of this game being motivated by twisted propaganda in the beginning. The heroes then chose to take a stand against the Nazi military forces who have brought them all into international conflict and aim to stop the senseless slaughter that occurred during World War II.

Following a story inspired by historical events, players will go on a journey with two German Wehrmacht soldiers who deserted and are now guerilla troopers. They will meet companions who sympathize with them and attempt to save others in order to survive.

Each character in the game has different strengths and skills which encourages players to effectively combine them to outwit the opponent in a variety of environments. Players may approach the combat scenario be it through stealth through the sneaking skills or use firearms to accomplish the mission.

The game is divided into two parts, firstly is the story part that includes 2D animation that comes narrated with sound and have imagery that showcases the scenario that unfolds as the main characters struggle to live through war and to save as many people as possible.

While the second part is the gameplay aspect of the game which has you controlling the characters from a bird’s eye view and completing the missions and objectives.
