A notice of postponement was made by Illumination developers regarding the release of their upcoming Virtual Reality simulator, VR Kanojo.
The game was initially set to release on the confirmed date of April 24. However, a notice on Steam posted two weeks before its release stated that the developers behind VR Kanojo has decided to postpone the game to improve its quality even further.

Since its promotional video release on April 3, VR Kanojo received a huge amount of support and feedback from the public. Many of which spoke on the visuals on Yuhi Sakura – the main protagonist of the simulator.
The presentation of the game as a whole was also commented on. With careful discussion from the developers, they came to the conclusion to add extra time to develop the game to ensure all the necessary needs are met and even better experience is delivered.
As they announce the extended release on Summer 2025, VR Kanojo will receive a finalized release date as development progresses.

The team has expressed their apologies to the community over this setback, but will continue to work hard so that VR Kanojo’s official launch will have been worth the wait.
Before this, Illumination has also made the development of updating the age rating of VR Kanojo to an Adults-Only version. Read all about it here.
