Vlambeer is an indie studio that was most known for their creation of Nuclear Throne as well as other games such as Super Crate Box and Ridiculous Fishing is shutting down their doors after 10 years of developing games.
Nuclear Throne Overview
Nuclear Throne is a top-down shooter roguelike video game by Vlambeer. Early prototypes of the game were distributed through Steam’s early access program in 2013.
Where people would think this is a sad occasion, Jan Willem Nijiman and Rami Ismail, the developers of Vlambeer Studio said otherwise. Over on the official Vlambeer twitter account they tweeted “We had a beautiful run, made incredible games, and worked with amazing people, but it is time for new things.”
Today marks Vlambeer’s 10th anniversary, which is way longer than we could've ever imagined. We had a beautiful run, made incredible games, and worked with amazing people, but it is time for new things. So we're announcing the end of Vlambeer. pic.twitter.com/jZ4dMGxNV2

While the studio is shutting down, the developers will still be releasing its upcoming arcade game titled Ultrabugs. There’s also a Steam Sale being held to celebrate their decade of development. Fans of the studios can get up to 75% of discount on their game titles.
Both Nijiman and Ismail will still be continuing to do work similar to what their doing now, but just separately. Although the future is still uncertain for them, but we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
