Wanna get yourself a vivo V11 but doesn’t have enough budget? You don’t need to worry now as vivo has actually launched vivo v11i, a slightly downgraded version of V11 that priced below RM1300 too. Even though it is just a budget phone, it is still having a decent performance and a great camera. We are lucky to get our hands on the device, so check out our vivo V11i review below and see what are our thoughts about it!
Design and Display
The design for V11 and V11i are basically identical to each other, with V11i featuring a 6.3-inch Halo FullView display that has a notch resembling a teardrop. It is having a 19:9 aspect ratio as well. The IPS Display still delivers a vibrant, ultra-vivid colour but unfortunately, we didn’t get the In-Display Fingerprint Scanner on V11i.
At the back, we could see a 3D cover coming in a gorgeous fusion colour just like V11’s. We got the Starry Night version for V11i, which its colour shifts prettily from black to blue and there is even some glitter design at the bottom. Also, the rear camera and fingerprint scanner are framed with gold lines, which makes the device looks classy than ever. The V11i is quite a fingerprint magnet, but it is not that slippy thanks to its curved body design.

Camera
V11i comes with a superior camera lineup – 16MP + 5MP dual camera on the rear and 25MP camera on the front. The rear camera features the powerful AI functions that V11 have, such as AI Backlight HDR, AI Low Light Mode and AI Scene Recognition. However compared with V11, the camera performance in low light condition is slightly lower due to the difference in aperture size (you still can take decent photos though).
The V11i also allows you to shoot first and focus later, where you can concentrate on capturing photos and let the camera’s AI works its magic. One of the best AI features we have on V11 – the AI Portrait Framing (that guides you to produce perfectly framed portrait shots) is featured on V11i too!
If you are someone who takes a lot of selfies, V11i would be a great choice for you. The 25MP front camera also comes with AI features that we love, including AI Face Shaping and AI Selfie Lighting. Of course, you can play around with plenty of the AR stickers as well.
Performance and Battery
Since vivo V11i is just a budget phone, you can’t put a high expectation on its gaming performance (like running mobile games with the best graphics settings). Gladfully, its Mediatek Helio P60 Processor and 4GB RAM still handle multitasking with ease and delivers a smooth gaming experience. On the other side, its large 128GB ROM offers more than enough storage space for you to keep all your essential apps or mobile games too.
As usual, we tested vivo V11i with a few mobile games including Mobile Legends, PUBG Mobile, Dragonball Legends and Monster Hunter Stories. The device could run PUBG Mobile at HD graphics settings with only a short instance of framerate dropping when you parachutes. The device doesn’t get overheated even after playing Mobile Legends and Monster Hunter Stories for a prolonged period, while playing Dragonball Legends is an enjoyable experience with no lags or delays.
Besides, the device features a friendly “auto-play” function that allows you to put your phone on rest mode (darken the display) without stopping the game. This could save up a lot of battery especially when you are grinding through a game! The Game Assistant that optimizes the game and allowing you to auto reject calls or block floating preview is also featured in V11i.
The 3315mAh battery offers a few hours of non-stop gaming. Even though your battery gets low, Vivo’s Fast Charging technology could charge it back quickly.
Conclusion
With at budget price under RM1300, we could say that vivo V11i is worth more than its price. It is capable of quite a few hours of smooth gaming and taking some good shots even under low light condition, not to mention that it is also having a gorgeous design!
Available in 2 colours –Starry Night and Nebula, Vivo V11i is now available at only RM1299. For more information, you can visit their official site or Facebook.
