A newer version of the Digimon Vital Bracelet has just been announced called the Vital Bracelet Digivice V, which comes with new features.
For anime-only watchers, you should be pleased to find out that the Digivice V will be used by the characters in the upcoming Digimon Ghost Game anime.
As for its features, the Digivice V has an extremely useful sleep mode that lets users actually control the timing of when their Digimon sleeps. In sleep mode, Digimon in the Digivice V will not lose Vital Points and the evolution timer will still countdown, which is a huge quality of life improvement. It also comes with an improved LCD screen.
Another improvement is the ability to share Dim Cards. One Dim Card can be compatible with up to three Digivice Vs, or two if it is already used on a standard Vital Bracelet. This means that Dim Card sharing amongst Digivice V and Vital Bracelet users is possible up until a certain limit. Note that attempting to use Kamen Rider or Ultraman VBM Cards with the Digivice V might result in errors.
The Digivice V is expected to release in Japan on October 2, coinciding with the release of the Digimon Ghost Game anime. It will be priced at 4,730 yen (43.20 USD) and will be inclusive of the Gammamon Dim Card.
If you are already satisfied with your existing Vital Bracelet and are just keen on the Dim Cards, you may opt to purchase the standalone Gammamon Dim Card for 990 yen (9.10 USD).
There is also the Angoramon and Jellymon Dim Card set which will release on December 11, 2021. It will be priced at 1,980 yen (18.10 USD)
