Pokemon WONDER will be a new, temporary zone opening in Yomiuriland come 17 July 2021. Pokemon WONDER is a nature-themed zone, where you’ll be able to search for Pokemon in the vegetation as you work through puzzles together with family and friends. The idea is that children and adults alike can enjoy being a part of nature through Pokemon.
Participants will be able to enter the zone with up to six in a group to be part of a research team, exploring a 4,500m2 area with your research notebook in hand to find hidden Pokemon. There are two courses, in which you’ll have to visit three areas within 90 minutes to find as many creatures as you can.
Over 50 different Pokemon will be scattered throughout the zone, and are not made with CG, animated or stuffed. All of them are created based on a concept of harmonizing with nature, so they’ll be made out of natural materials, like carving out wood or marble. Tickets are already on sale, at 4,900 yen for adults, and 1,800 yen for elementary school students. These prices are inclusive of the admission fee to Yomiuriland and tax, while the other attractions are at a separate charge.
The zone will be open until 3 April, 2022.
