Valorant Mobile has been in the works since 2021 and underwent closed beta testing last year in August. Valorant Mobile or Valorant: Operation Primal as it goes by has just been approved to release in China. Even though Riot Games has not mentioned anything regarding the release date, with China’s approval of said game, we might get to play it sooner than anticipated.
China’s National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) officially approved Valorant Mobile. They are the ones who oversee and regulate China’s video games sector. By gaining their approval, does this mean we can expect the game to launch soon?
China has always been strict when it comes to foreign game releases. Even though Valorant was launched globally in 2020, China’s players did not get to play it until 2023. A three-year wait but it broke the records in streaming once it went live on Chinese servers.
Riot Games is also currently working on their own fighting game, 2XKO. It doesn’t have a set release date yet but there might be a small chance of seeing some of Valorant’s field agents on it. Plus it’s also going to be free-to-play.
