Valkyrie of Phantasm Set for Full Release on October 18

Publisher PLAYISM and developer Areazero have announced that the high-speed shooting battle action game, Valkyrie of Phantasm, will exit Early Access and officially launch for PC via Steam on October 18, 2024. The game, which has been in Early Access since October 23, 2022, is based on the popular Touhou Project series.

Valkyrie of Phantasm offers players the opportunity to control characters from the Touhou universe in fast-paced aerial combat. The game features intense danmaku (bullet hell) battles set in the skies of Gensokyo, challenging players to utilize mobility and various spells to navigate through a barrage of bullets. While rooted in the Touhou Project universe, Valkyrie of Phantasm presents an original story with the developers’ unique interpretation of the world and characters. It’s important to note that this is a fan game developed by Areazero.

The game boasts a comprehensive combat system, including basic actions such as melee attacks, shooting, spell casting, evasive steps, boost dashes, and guarding. Additionally, players can employ special actions like Accel Drive for temporary power-ups, Accel Drive Spells, Ultimate Spells, and various tactical maneuvers such as charged melee attacks, rush attacks, and boost dash attacks.

Valkyrie of Phantasm supports both single-player and multiplayer modes, allowing for battles with up to four players online. The full release promises to deliver an action-packed experience for fans of the Touhou series and shooting game enthusiasts alike.
