Super Evil Megacorp selects Singapore, the nation where the first beta of Vainglory was launched back in 2013 as the venue for its second world championship finals. The event will take place at Kallang Theatre, Singapore from 14-17 December where top 12 Vainglory teams across the world will fight for the one and only crown.
Among 5000 teams across 6 regions in the world – North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, East Asia and China, 7 teams have confirmed for a spot in this year’s championships. The final teams include Singapore’s Team Impunity who won the recent regional championships in Jakarta, champion Rox Armada from Korea, North America’s Cloud 9, Korea’s ACE Gaming,
Indonesia’s Elite8, Japan’s DetonatioN Gaming and China’s Hunters. The remaining 6 seats are up for grabs across the remaining regional qualifiers.
This year, the prize pool of Vainglory World Championship is set as USD$140,000, marking a significant increase from last year’s USD$120,000 prize pool. For the finals, the player will be competing in front of live audience and also be streamed globally via Vainglory’s Twitch.TV, Youtube and Facebook. Leading shoutcasters in 4 languages will be joining the event too.
