The last time Super Evil Megacorp updated was 2 months ago and subsequently tweak some features and added new heroes. Now with an update leap to 2.o, they are preparing players with a huge update with lots of improvements, new features and also a new hero. This new update is very friendly to new players with more hero and skill descriptions and chests that gives players a higher chance to adding more hero skin into their collection. Cheers to this new update for more player friendly content and benefits!
Here’s a video of the what’s in stores for the new update 2.0:
To begin with, they have revamped their hero classification system. Now with their own categories, it will be easy to access to the type of heroes you want from Captains, Carries or Junglers. They come with their own complete descriptions to aid newcomers! So new players will not fret and get lost in being a newbie for the game. That’s not all, there are hero info sheets that has been updated with detailed stats for the veterans to imply them into their hero build and strategy.
Remember the pain staking grind and expensive Opals you need to get a skin? Now forget all that! They have revamped the game’s chest system with a new “MysteryChest” that enables all players with any hero or skin that is currently available in the market. This is due to the fact that Opals aren’t cheap and it takes a long time to earn those skins in-game. So now with this new revamped feature, players will have the chance to get new heroes and skins! Don’t fret yet if you get a duplicate hero or skin. You will be refunded with 20 Opals instead.
Here are some details of the what you will get when opening the “Mystery Chest”:
- Better than 1-in-3 chance of getting a hero or skin!
- Extremely rare chance of hitting the 1 MILLION Opals jackpot
- Other Mystery Chest loot includes: Opals, Glory, Essence, boosts and Mystery Keys – These loot payouts are consistently greater than in the old Season Chest.
- If you don’t get a hero or skin, you’ll at the very least get 800 Glory or a boost or another Mystery Key
- If you would receive a duplicate hero or skin, you’ll instead get at least 20 Opals.
The Guild system has never been better. Now players will be able to find and join new guilds easily with a welcome change. Rewards from the guild will also be allotted throughout the season instead of at the end. Guild rep can also be earned by players in solo matches. The best part now is there are guild admin tools that allows the leaders to transfer ownership, name officers with privileges and many more.
Finally, we see a new hero addition, Assassin Idris. Idris is a very versatile hero that can excel in melee or range attacker. He has a spear and chakrams that can be thrown which can hit heroes multiple times if you play it cleverly. He excels in assassinating targets in close range and by utilizing crystal items, it will allow him to dance around the enemy confusing them to fight while juking and keeping his distance. There are a few builds you can play with Idris so it is up to you to play him with your playstyle or creativity.
Here’s a description of his perks and abilities:
Divergent Paths (Heroic Perk)
Idris unlocks unique powers for either his melee or ranged paths upon attaining a certain amount of weapon or crystal power.
Melee (Weapon)
Idris’s Shroudstep becomes an instantaneous blink. Passively, his melee attacks restore stamina and reduce the cooldowns of his Shroudstep and Shimmer Strike abilities.
Ranged (Crystal)
Idris gains ranged basic attacks, dealing crystal and weapon damage and applying on-hit effects.
Instead of energy, Idris uses stamina to activate his abilities. Purchasing items with energy and energy regeneration increases his stamina and stamina regeneration.
Shroudstep (A)
Idris dashes in the target direction, dealing amplified damage to the next target he attacks within seconds. If Idris has not taken damage within the last few seconds, Shroudstep grants a barrier. The availability of the barrier is displayed beneath his stamina meter.
Chakram (B)
Idris throws a chakram that returns to him, damaging enemies each time it passes over them. Hitting enemy heroes, miners, or kraken recovers stamina. Idris can use his Shroudstep and Shimmer Strike abilities to avoid catching returning chakrams, giving him additional opportunities to strike enemies.
Shimmer Strike (ULTIMATE)
Idris latches onto the target hero, becoming invulnerable, then leaps off in the chosen direction, damaging surrounding enemies. The distance Idris leaps is increased in his crystal path.
So far from what we’ve seen, update 2.0 is going to be a great update for new players as they improved on the UI and content as well as hero balances.
