VA-11 Hall-A developer Sukeban Games has recently announced their new game .45 PARABELLUM BLOODHOUND, which will feature a mix of real-time and turn-based combat will be available on PC via Steam. The game will be playable for the first time at BitSummit Drift from July 19 to 21, 2024.
From the developers’ official website the game is an “Active Time Action” game where you move and dodge in real time while you wait for an Action bar to fill at a speed determined by your character and weapon stats. The story will showcase Reila Mikazuchi, a washed-out mercenary whose glory days have long gone and who is looking to rebuild her life by doing what she knows best.
“In a last attempt at grabbing life by the horns she decides to go back to the life, only to realize the real enemy isn’t in front of her gun,” as state in the developer’s post.
The game will have detailed lo-fi visuals and old school pixel art that enhances the texture of it’s cyberpunk world setting and will play out inside highly atmospheric environments. Player will be roaming around finding secrets hidden all over the game’s world, as well as talking to quite the unique cast of characters. And of course there will be boss fights at the end of every level.
Currently, Sukeban Games is aiming for seven chapters, five of which are currently playable from start to finish and most of the features and story are now now set and is unlikely to change. As for the release, the VA-11 Hall-A developer Sukeban Games will not give any time tables for the new game but hope that it’s sooner rather than later.
