Popular MOBA game Vainglory is now available for more cross-platform play after update 4.0. Which means, players on Windows and macOS can now play the game together with players on Android and iOS! Well, you do not see that everyday, do you? The game is now also available on Steam as early access for both Windows and macOS. Most importantly, it is free!
CEO of Super Evil Megacorp, Kristian Segerstrale, believes all gamers from different platforms deserve to experience the game together as a whole. The developers of Vainglory are trying to build towards a vision where gamers can be competitive with anyone and anywhere.
If you are worried that this update to go cross-platform is going to backfire, a gentle reminder that they have been testing it for months. There was even a PC vs mobile exhibition match during the 2018 Vainglory Premier League World Invitational last year. The mobile team won by a big margin in the end. Q. Wang, the game director of Vainglory said he is looking forward to what the new Steam players have to offer this year.

In addition to becoming a part of Steam, the update also brought some improvements such as the addition of a in-game text chat, a new friends hub and more. A new cross-platform UI was added and 5v5 is now the primary game mode. Furthermore, a new hero San Feng is now available.
