Uma Musume adds Seiun Sky to the stable

With the new banner refresh that will last until 21 June 2021, we have the addition of Seiun Sky to the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby lineup. As one of the more anticipated cast member, Seiun Sky will fulfill the role of a runner for the mid and long distances.

It wasn’t too long ago since we had a runner, considering that one could prep Smart Falcon for the longer distances, so how does Seiun Sky stack up? The 20% wisdom bonus is rather suspect for a character who would want it for either speed or stamina. In this instance, Seiun Sky only gets that bonus in stamina, so this is not a complete loss.

As for her skillset, the combination of Vanguard’s Wisdom and Escape Artist is very helpful in letting Seiun Sky maintain her lead and keep it, while Runner’s Tricks is always a welcome addition. Carrying over from her support card, Seiun Sky will also have the Faltering Leaders debuff, although that is probably not a recommended skill to pick up unless you can get it heavily discounted and have nothing else to learn. Seeing as how that you will be forced essentially to run Super Creek as a support for Seiun Sky for the heal anyway, you may very likely end up getting it on the cheap. With regards to the support card gacha, this is an easy skip unless you are near completion of your Silence Suzuka card, since Runaway is a good skill to have for the girls who can use them. Tamamo Cross is also another one you can pass up, unless you absolutely have to complete her or want Quick and Decisive for your shorter range Betweeners. The skill itself is great, but Tamamo Cross as a Stamina support for the short ranges is unnecessary. Whatever the case may be, happy rolling!
