Ultraman and Iron-Blooded Orphans are joining the lineup for Super Robot Wars 30, with the announcement of the second DLC for the game which launches in December of this year.
This time, the DLC will see the debut of another new series in Super Robot Wars 30 – Ultraman, marking the second Tsuburaya collaboration with the series following Gridman’s addition to the base roster.
Rather than the regular Ultraman, the game will features specifically the Ultraman manga characters, which is bizarre considering they’re human sized unlike the other robots in the series.
The DLC will feature Ultraman, Ultraman Ver.7 as well as Ultraman Ver.A. The characters are named Ultraman, SEVEN and ACE respectively, more closely following the legacy characters they’re meant to homage.
Aside from that this DLC will also see the inclusion of Iron-Blooded Orphans, one of the more recent Gundam anime series. It adds the Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex as well as the Gusion Rebake Full City into the game’s roster, along with their pilots.
Finally, the DLC will also add characters from the Super Robot Wars OG series to the game as well, such as the Claymore mecha.
It looks like Super Robot Wars 30’s DLC is really looking to expand the playable roster with new collaborations, rather than just adding more from previous franchises.
We’ve already seen as much with the Sakura Wars addition in the first DLC pack, so it’s anyone’s guess which series will be added next.
