Meanwhile, The Division Heartland is a free to play game set in The Division universe at Red Storm. The title will be a standalone game that does not need previous experience with the series, providing an all new perspective on the universe in a new setting. The slated release window is set for 2021 – 2022, for PC, consoles and cloud. You have the option to participate in early test phases as well, through here.
The Division 2 will also be getting new content with development by Ubisoft Massive and support from Ubisoft Bucharest. No specific details have been provided, but the update will include a new game mode, and new levelling methods with emphasis on build variety and viability. News on this update will be revealed at a later point ahead of the late 2021 release.
Last but not least is a film in development with Netflix and Ubisoft Film & Television. Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal will star in the production, with Rawson Marshall Thurber as director. The franchise transmedia will be further expanded with an original novel from Aconyte, set after the events of The Division 2.
