During Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Showcase today, the game’s Creative Director Davide Soliani gave us more details about Mario and The Rabbid’s latest adventure including the composers who will be making the soundtrack.
He announced that two new composers will be joining the adventure: famous Japanese composer Yoko Shimomura, known for her work on Kingdom Hearts and the Mario & Luigi RPG series as well as the multi-awarded composer Gareth Coker, the man behind the melodies of Ori and The Blind Forest.
Acclaimed British video game composer Grant Kirkhope also returns to the franchise, after previously scoring Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. He is also well known for his work at British studio Rare, creating the soundtracks for Banjo Kazooie and Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo 64. He gleefully announced his return on Twitter back when the game was first unveiled.
and yes I am scoring Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope! I had to request that @DavideSoliani would not be allowed to be a Diva like last time but alas he’s already started!🤣
