During the Ubisoft Forward 2023 livestream, Ubisoft in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games shared a first look at gameplay for Star Wars Outlaws, the first open-world Star Wars game which launches on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Ubisoft Connect.
Star Wars Outlaws will invite players to experience the Star Wars galaxy through an original story set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Fans will step into the shoes of cunning scoundrel Kay Vess played by Humberly González. Joining her is her loyal companion Nix, played by Dee Bradley Baker, where both Kay and Nix attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen.
The duo will travel across the galaxy to distinct locations, both iconic and new, from the jungles of Akiva to the windswept savannah of Toshara. Kay will be exploring bustling cities and cantinas, race across sprawling outdoor landscapes on her speeder, and pilot her ship the Trailblazer through the wilds of space.
Players can use stealth and gadgets to retrieve valuables while undetected, distract enemies with a well-timed stunt, or even engage in blaster combat throughout their journey. Kay and Nix will also join forces with a cast of outlaws along the way, including battle-hardened droid ND-5, played by Jay Rincon.
