Earlier this year, it was announced that the upcoming HD Remaster of Mahoutsukai no Yoru or ‘Witch on The Holy Night’ was announced to be getting English and Chinese language versions.
In addition to this, an official Aniplex Press Release has now more or less confirmed that the game will be localized for English speaking audiences.
This comes alongside the official Type-Moon youtube channel posting the game’s first English language trailer. Check it out below:
The most significant part of the trailer is that it begins with an ESRB M rating. The fact that the game now has a North American rating implies that’ll it’ll be getting a full localization which would be a milestone for Type-Moon’s international fanbase.
“Set in 1980s Japan, WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT tells the story of fan-favorite TYPE-MOON character Aoko Aozaki as she attempts to navigate the complex world of magecraft while also dealing with the everyday struggles of life as a high school student! Players will experience the thrilling origin story of this much-beloved character, penned by Kinoko Nasu, famed creator of the Fate series, himself.”
The Aniplex press release says that the English language release of Witch on The Holy Night will be released on December the 8th for $39.99 USD for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
Here’s hoping this can lead to a Tsukihime Remake localisation some time in the near future.
