Turn-based strategy RPG Etheria: Restart has officially announced its upcoming Closed Beta Test, scheduled to run from January 9 to January 20, 2025. The test will be available across multiple platforms including iOS, Android, and PC, with cross-platform data synchronization supported.
Set in a virtual metropolis following a catastrophic global freezing event, Etheria: Restart tells the story of humanity’s survival by transferring consciousness into a digital realm. Players take on the role of Hyperlinkers, working with mysterious beings called Animus to uncover the truth behind the “Genesis” disaster that has begun corrupting their digital allies.
Built on Unreal Engine, the game promises stunning visual fidelity with real-time rendered cutscenes and detailed character animations during combat. The battle system combines traditional turn-based mechanics with strategic elements, allowing players to form diverse team compositions and control their Animus squad in real-time combat scenarios.
The game features both PvP and PvE content. Players can test their tactical prowess in the Arena’s one-on-one duels, while PvE challenges await in various game modes including the Threshold, GP Outpost, and Investigations. Each Animus comes with a unique Prowess system and can be customized through Shells and Ether Modules, offering extensive character build options.
Prior to the CBT launch, developers will host a special livestream event on January 3rd at 19:00 (UTC+8) across YouTube, Twitch, and Discord platforms. YouTube viewers will have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes during the broadcast.
Interested players can sign up for the CBT through the official website. The development team has established official community channels across multiple social media platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Discord, and Twitch for players to stay updated on the latest news and developments.
