Trinity Trigger is an upcoming action RPG releasing for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5. The project, helmed by Mana series veterans, will be coming out 15 September 2022. A free demo of the game is available through the Japanese My Nintendo Store.
The story features three characters: Cyan, Elise, and Xantice. Cyan is the chosen Warrior of Chaos, joining Elise and Xantice in wanting to change his fate. The titular “Trigger” is a familiar, with the characters’ Triggers named Flam, Viz, and Rai, respectively. The gameplay looks to be real-time ARPG with players able to change between different characters. A weapon wheel system will allow you to change between weapons, abilities and items. Last but not least, there will be support up to 3 players in local multiplayer.
You can check out the Trinity Trigger official website here. At first glance, it does not seem obvious if the game will be getting an international release at some later date. As mentioned, the game’s demo is presently only through the Japanese My Nintendo Store, so non-Japanese speakers will have to fumble through even if they can secure the demo.
Hopefully, details about its more global release can come in time, even if it won’t end up being a simultaneous one.
