Splash Damage, the studio behind the upcoming Transformers Reactivate have told players there won’t be any new trailer or updates on the game’s development this year ahead of this year’s The Game Awards.
In a Twitter post, they told players not to get their hopes up, as the team are hard at work making a game worth showing first and foremost.
“We know that everyone has been patiently awaiting updates on Transformers Reactivate, however we won’t be revealing any new content this year”, the message reads.
“Your passion and enthusiasm powers our mission to create THE Transformers game fans have been waiting for, and we’ve now shifted to developing the game in Unreal Engine 5!”, it continues. “Stay tuned for exciting reveals and epic developments in 2024!”
Transformers Reactivate was a surprise reveal at last year’s The Game Awards- with a trailer that didn’t even reveal it was for Hasbro’s famous transforming robots until the very end.
The game is a 1-4 player online action game, which sees players fighting The Legion- an entirely new enemy rather than focusing on the usual Autobot-Decepticon conflict.
While in-game renders of the characters have yet to be revealed, the toyline based on the game has given us a peek at designs for Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream and Soundwave.
